Does not taste like a typical mushroom found in a grocery store. It has a somewhat earthy flavor and a bright nutty flavor that has almost a hint of pecan. Chaga mushrooms also contains a naturally occurring form of vanillin, the same as what is found vanilla bean. I have found chaga mushroom tea to be an effective supplement for treating erectile dysfunction in my 50s.
